GROWER HINTS:
►Calibrachoas are a hybrid type of Petunia from Japan. They are a very miniature type of new petunia. Fortunately the flowers hold up better than the typical petunia.
GROWTH HABITS:
►They are very fine stemmed and need to be handled a little carefully as they get older so they don’t break. Don’t be afraid to cut them back, they will grow out again immediately. They may go out of bloom in the winter. Cut back some if necessary and wait for spring bloom.

FEEDING AND WATERING:
►All of the new Calibrachoa like a very high level of fertilizer with good supplies of nitrogen and iron. Use Weidners Good Stuff (once a week) or Mir-Acid is fine. They are hungry like teenagers so don’t forget to fertilize. Baskets will need watering every day.

►Each year new colors are introduced. Red, white, purple, rose, yellow, coral pink & pink.

CONTAINER OR GROUND?
►It makes a good basket plant and a nice ground cover.
PARTICULAR PESTS:
►All petunias are at risk from a little night flying moth that lays eggs in the buds of petunias and geraniums. Be sure to start spraying with sometime to control caterpillars in June to keep the little bud worms from attacking. There are non-toxic (except to caterpillars) products on the market.
